Karen created a new look for this

architectural firm. Their immediate need

was for a holiday invitation. The logo was

based on a red square Karen saw on the front

of their building. She added an architectural

symbol, used as an ampersand.

Karen designed this minimal web site for Clark & Green based on the logo she created. 

It opens with a flash animation of the logo. Then one of five categories of architectural

projects can be selected: residential, cultural and educational, commercial, civic and municipal, 

and houses of worship. Clicking on a square displays a photo of the exterior while a flash

One of Karen’s projects while working for Milton Glaser was to design this series

of cookbooks for Irena Chalmers’ Great American Cooking Schools. A program of

licensed products followed based on these graphics, and several trade books 

were designed for the food industry.

As a new destination on the radio dial,

WBCR needed a MAP for listeners.

Theater ads. The two ads on the left ran 

consecutively, creating more screen time and

more impact.

WBCR programmer Paul Rapp assembled

a quartet of highly talented musicians who

had never performed together, and had them

play in the studio for a live broadcast.

The result is a glorious CD of free jazz called

The Splatto Festival Chorus for which Karen

did the photography and designed the CD 

packaging.

A sweet, tiny gallery selling works on paper. Karen designed four different ‘collectible’

business cards using illustrations from the gallery’s collection.
